We are actively seeking an Events Sales Manager who will be a key member of the sales team, working with the Revenue and Sales Manager.  Primarily the role is responsible for pro actively selling The Manor House and Golf Club Resort for events ensuring the budget targets are met.

Role Responsibility

Lots to do but lots of fun

  • To pro-actively sell the resort for events – including conferences, meetings, team building, family occasions and gatherings, weddings, corporate golf, Christmas parties.
  • To take responsibility to drive and close every event sales opportunity in the MICE, private dining and Christmas for the resort. To support wedding conversion, wedding fayres and other related activity, supporting the Wedding Manager at every opportunity.
  • To deliver the hotel budgeted targets for MICE, private dining and Christmas. To deliver golf budgeted targets in relation to weddings, MICE, private dining and Christmas events. To support the delivery of budgeted sales for bedrooms and all revenue streams.
  • To work closely with the Group functions, in order to highlight current selling strategies, potential risks and key opportunities for improving conversion and increasing revenue.
  • To work closely with the Revenue & Sales Manager agreeing any promotional or marketing campaigns that will generate future enquiries.
  • To ensure all events within the hotel are planned to the hotel standard, guiding the client through all stages of event management, seeking every up-selling opportunity, maximising revenue from each event.
  • Review processes, procedure and training plans to create and maintain a robust enquiry handling and teamwork throughout the property.
  • Profile Organisers and C Suite from all events. Consider other business opportunities for other  events, golf and Christmas.

The Ideal Candidate

Are you right for us?

  • Previous sales experience, preferably with a hotel background.
  • Outgoing and confident.
  • Well presented.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven team supervisory skills.
  • Outstanding guest care focus with an open and service orientated approach.
  • Understanding of the hotel market and preferably of our key competitors.
  • Excellent communication abilities and be comfortable presenting at all levels within the business.
  • Strong commercial focus.
