Reservations and Season Cookery Coordinator

Job Introduction

JOB PURPOSE;

Coordination of all leisure cookery school classes working alongside the cookery school manager to promote and the administration of each class. Promotion through the updating of the website and using social media channels. Liaising with course tutors to implement course content and sourcing of new cookery school tutors.

Working with the Reservation Manager to maximise yield and profitability for the leisure market (Cookery School, Falconry, Leisure residential, diary of events)  in accordance with the sales and marketing plan as set by the Sales Manager/Reservations Manager

To drive and close every sales opportunity to the leisure market for the hotel, clearly demonstrating best practice.

Hours of Work:

Tuesday  - 10:00am – 6:30pm

Wednesday - Saturday 9:00am - 5:30pm 

Role Responsibility

  • In conjunction with the Reservations Manager, help to generate ideas to  improve where appropriate the quality of reservations calls in-line with the prescribed standards.
  • Research and create new courses and sourcing course tutors.
  • Contact Guests to make arrangements for their stay and upsell where appropriate.
  • Use company social media to promote cookery courses and manage the Season Website to update new courses.
  • Create administration items required for all courses.
  • In the absence of the Reservations Manager manage reservations reporting to the Sales Manager.
  • Assist with the training and coaching of the Guest Services Team for all tasks involving reservations and voucher sales.
  • Be proactive in assisting with any queries directed to the Sales Team and refer appropriately to our sister properties as necessary.
  • Meet and greet all leisure cookery courses ensuring we have the correct information and meet at the end of the day with a goody bag.
  • Take a proactive approach to cold calling ensuring all relevant leads are followed up.
  • Work with the Reservation Manager on Yield availability, rates and property information in SMS and 3rd Party Websites as required according to the rate strategy set in conjunction with the Revenue & Sales Manager.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager in ensuring the BOB and Market Segment & Source Report is regularly updated.
  • The role must ensure that all correspondence and data input for reservations is accurate & timely.
  • Work with Exclusive booking channel to create new courses and ensure availability to book.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager with OTA & 3rd party website management including rates and property representation on site with a focus on how the hotel is represented against our competitors.
  • At all times to project a favourable image of Exclusive Hotels to the public.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous hotel experience from within the sales or reservations fields
  • Outstanding guest care focus with an open and service orientated approach
  • Understanding of the luxury hotel market and preferably of our key competitors
  • Excellent communication abilities and be comfortable presenting at all levels within the business
  • A  financial and business understanding
