Key Responsibilities

As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be:

  • Preparing, producing and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, breads and afternoon tea items to exceptional standards.
  • Taking ownership of your section, ensuring it is organised, efficient and fully prepared for service.
  • Working closely with the Pastry Sous Chef and Executive Pastry Chef to deliver outstanding pastry offerings.
  • Supporting, coaching and developing Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs within the pastry team.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and allergen management.
  • Monitoring quality, consistency and presentation across all pastry products.
  • Supporting stock control, ordering and ingredient management to minimise waste and maximise quality.
  • Contributing creative ideas for seasonal menus, dessert development and guest experiences. 

Person Specification

As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you’ll be passionate about patisserie and will have:

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie, or a talented Demi Chef de Partie ready to progress.
  • Strong technical pastry skills with a passion for producing exceptional desserts and baked goods.
  • Experience working within a high-quality hotel, restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in consistently producing work of the highest standard.
  • The ability to perform calmly and effectively in a busy service environment.
  • A positive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for pastry.
  • A desire to continue learning, developing and progressing your culinary career.
