You will join as a Gardener who values craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. Working within the Grounds team, you will help care for Fanhams Hall’s historic gardens and grounds, ensuring they remain a welcoming and memorable environment for guests throughout the year. Key Responsibilities
• Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, shrubs and landscaped areas to a high standard
• Carry out planting, pruning, weeding and seasonal garden maintenance
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and effectively
• Support the upkeep and presentation of the Japanese water garden and surrounding grounds
• Assist with irrigation, watering and plant care programmes
• Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns promptly
• Work collaboratively with the wider hotel and maintenance teams
Person Specification
• Previous gardening, horticultural or grounds maintenance experience preferred
• Passion for gardening and maintaining outdoor spaces
• Good plant knowledge and understanding of seasonal gardening practices
• Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, organised and flexible in approach to work
• Physically able to undertake outdoor work in varying weather conditions
