Job Introduction
We are actively seeking a new Commis Chef to help prepare and cook delicious food for our Club House. This is very much a work life balance role which is very unusual in the chef world we know!
Alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and kitchen operations for the Club house kitchen helping create a culture that delivers an amazing guest experience.
From bacon rolls to creating delicious menus for weddings, it is all go here at The Manor House Golf Club. This is a work life balance role as it is very seasonal. Although a small team, you will feel part of a big family.

Role Responsibility
Lots to do but lots of fun
As a Commis Chef you will rotate through the different sections of the kitchen so you get learn to a variety of skills. During your shift you will support and assist the senior chefs in bringing the recipes to life.
The Ideal Candidate
Are you right for us?
- NVQ level 3 in Food Preparation/ and or a great passion for cooking and food.
- Confident communicator – important to liaise with other team members (and yes that includes the front of house team)
- Ability to manage your own time. (In order not to burn anything!)
- Knowledge of COSHH guidelines to carry out your role safely. (Training will be provided).
- This role is seasonal which means more hours are worked in the summer than winter.
