Job Introduction

Reporting into the Front of House Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of Reception and Switchboard and ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered at all times. This is a permanent full time role based on a 5 out of 7 shift pattern which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.

Role Responsibility

The Reception Manager will be responsible for…

  • Training and development of all Receptionists, Shift Leaders and Switchboard Operators
  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered at all times
  • Ensuring SOP manuals are in place, up to date and adhered to
  • Carrying out 1:1’s and appraisals of the team
  • Carrying out Duty Management shifts
  • This is a hands on role and you will be expected to work shifts
  • Dealing with guests issues and requests to ensure satisfactory problem resolution
  • Assist the FOH Manager with any Employee Relations issues within the team
  • Assist with recruitment and selection
  • Deputise for the FOH Manager in their absence

The Ideal Candidate

Our successful Reception Manager will

  • Be a Reception Manager in a smaller property  preferably in a four or five red star property  or a Shift Leader in a large four or five red star property
  • Have a strong eye for detail
  • Be able to effectively delegate
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Display strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrate a passion for Guests
  • Be able to inspire, influence and motivate others
  • Take pride in achieving results and celebrating success
  • Be able to multi task 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
