This brand new Spa Management Graduate programme here at South Lodge Hotel is a 2 year experience that will give this graduate manager a full, detailed and exciting introduction into the wonderful world of a luxury Spa!
This programme encompasses ALL areas of the Spa for a full and rounded experience. Within each department, the Graduate Manager should expect to get stuck in, but as well as this, expect to leave their time in that department able to conduct supervisory tasks and elements of team management.
In addition to the day to day, our Spa Graduate Manager will be part of the wider Exclusive Collection cohort of Graduate Managers, both Hotel and Spa, and build a profile for themselves at a senior level by working on Collection wide business projects and initiatives as well as attend Management Workshops and Head of Department meetings.
Role Responsibility
Lots to do but lots of fun
- Learn and deliver all treatments including bamboo massage
- Work closely with the carefully selected product brands to drive the retail side of the business in conjunction with the brand ambassadors
- Working closely with the Fitness Instructors to understand the day to day running of the gym
- Work with the Membership Sales Manager to obtain an in-depth understanding of all the operations that contribute to the effective running of a high profile, exclusive membership programme.
- You will learn, and be fully conversant of the front of house Reception operation and be able to run a shift, in the second year of the programme you will also be asked to take on Duty Manager shifts
- To be organised and in control of all daily checklists throughout the Spa front, and back of house areas
- You will be able to run and manage shifts within the restaurant, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
- Receive training and a qualification in Pool Plant and Pool Testing
- Understand and be able to carry out basic Human Resources functions linked with Recruitment, Employee Relations and Engagement

We are looking for a Spa Management Graduate to join us, someone who has all the theory in place and is ready to put that into action!
- An appropriate Spa Management Degree
- Previous working experience in a Spa, Salon or Hospitality setting would be great
- You'll be driven and ready to get stuck in to all the wonderful things that come with a Spa, this programme isn't just about Therapy, there is so much more involved
- You'll have a keen eye for detail with really high standards, the expectations of our members are guests are quite rightly just so
- Our Spa is all about sustainability, so, an interest in this, and an ability to look at and challenge the 'norm' will be great in helping us push our B-Corp initiatives even further!
