Job Introduction

To provide our members, clients and guests with a first class level of service at all times.  To be continually pro-active in working towards achieving the sales targets in place for the golf department

Role Responsibility

Our successful Golf Shop Retail Assistant will be repsonsible for:

  • Assisting in maintaining a first class golf destination.
  • Reporting for work in full uniform whenever on duty.
  • Making golf tee bookings.
  • Taking golf buggy bookings.
  • Arranging golf lessons.
  • Assisting in the running of club competitions.
  • Maintenance of club members handicaps.
  • The presentation of the club golf buggies.
  • Ensuring product knowledge is up to date at all times.
  • Assisting in and carry out the sale of merchandise in the club shop.
  • Working on Reception within the Golf Club.
  • Liaising closely with Course Marshalls/Starters.
  • Ensuring safe and proper handling of monies received on a daily basis.
  • Providing a comprehensive knowledge and service at the club for our members, visitors and corporate clients.
  • Assisting with shop stock control, including; customer orders, goods in & out, bar-coding of stock and stock check routines.
  • Ensuring that the shop floor and counter/reception area are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintaining good communication with other departments to ensure effective daily service for our members, clients and visitors.

The Ideal Candidate

Our successful Golf Shop Retail Assistant will have:

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Previous retail experience desirable but not essential
  • A common sense aproach to work
  • A can-do attitude and postive disposition
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Understands the requirements of delivering consistent high standards
  • Knowlegde of golf would be a distinct advantage
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours
