Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service standards
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal dish creation
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost targets
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of junior chefs
  • Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture

Person Specification

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a quality hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality food
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
